What to bring
You need to bring your own linen – you will need to bring a bottom sheet and pillowcase, along with a sleeping bag or doona. You also need to provide your own towel and personal toiletries. The solar system provides power for lighting overnight but a torch definitely comes in handy.
The Club provides pillows, tea, coffee, milo and sugar for hot drinks. You need to bring your own food and drinks to last the duration of your stay.
Tips and Tricks
There is no petrol or groceries available on the mountain. Snow Sports runs a Cafe on mountain that is open from start of lifts to late afternoon and Ben Lomond Alpine Resort run a cafe as part of their BASE at the turnoff from the main road.
Ski/snowboard and equipment hire is available from;
- Ben Lomond Alpine Resort – Ben Lomond BASE – located where you turn off from the main road, approximately 25 minutes from the top of the mountain.
- Ben Lomond Snow Sports – located at the bottom of the main slopes/above the Ben Lomond Village.
All vehicles travelling above the snow line must carry chains, and fit them where required. If you do not have your own chains they can be hired from Ben Lomond BASE. If you prefer not to drive up yourself you can park and ride the Ben Lomond Snow Sports Shuffle bus service. Please contact the companies direct for details on these options.
